Garnet Sand

This reddish-brown granular mineral abrasive is insoluble in water, resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. It decomposes only under ultra-high temperature above 1200°C and absorbs little moisture in natural environment. When reacting with strong concentrated acid, it barely dissolves and will not release toxic free silica dust. As an eco-friendly blasting abrasive and waterjet cutting medium, garnet sand delivers synergistic cutting and polishing effects, improving surface smoothness of metal workpieces.

It is widely applied in ship rust removal, steel plate surface treatment, stainless steel polishing and high-pressure water jet cutting equipment. In water filtration industry, it acts as high-efficiency filter bed material, intercepting suspended impurities in industrial wastewater. Additionally, it serves as grinding medium for marble and glass stone, anti-slip filler for floor coating, as well as wear-resistant additive for anti-corrosion paint and leveling agent for surface spraying projects.

High Hardness Garnet Sand

This reddish-brown sharp-grain grit is non-toxic, free of free silica, insoluble in water but stable under normal organic solvents. When soaked in alcohol, benzene or turpentine, it maintains rigid granular shape without gelatinization; only long-time exposure to hot strong acid will cause slight corrosion, with low hygroscopic performance.

High hardness garnet sand acts as surface cleaner, cutting medium, anti-adhesive grit, dispersant and anti-caking material for metal processing industries, and works as flow aid during pipeline sandblasting operation. It also functions as filter aid, impurity clarifier and foam stabilizer, as well as suspension filler and wear thickener in liquid anti-rust coating formulations.
